Haverstraw Ambulance is PROUD to introduce the community to our NEWEST NYS CERTIFIED Emergency Medical Technicians!

Paola Meza Garcia, Avraham Leifer, Promise Nwosu and Ariana Shalaj have been out serving our community in the capacity of EMS Observers who were lending a hand to the crews while gaining knowledge and experience.

They chose to expand their knowledge base by enrolling in a 200 hours NYS EMT class which was given at the Rockland County EMS Academy in Pomona.  This class involves classroom lectures, hands on skills training and often a clinical component. Upon completion of the classroom time, they were required to take a NYS Practical exam as well as a NYS Written exam.  A minimum of 2-3 nights a week and occasional weekends, the 4 of them managed personal responsibilities as well as volunteer time on the ambulance while attending this training.

We at Haverstraw Ambulance are proud to have them as trained and certified pre hospital providers serving the Haverstraw Ambulance Coverage area.  We wish them continued success and safe tours.
